Spring break: Health and Safety always

Spring break is time of the year that college students look forward to the most: two weeks of nonstop party in Cancun are the perfect spring break vacations for students all around the world. Cancun’s nightlife is worldwide known for being the spot to party during spring break; the best clubs in Cancun are found in the very heart of the hotel zone of Cancun and are simply awesome. Party in Cancun like a star, eat like a king, sleep like a baby and discover a paradise you’ve never seen from the moment you decide to visit Cancun for your spring break vacations.

Spring break in Cancun: Keep it safe

However, while spring break in Cancun is awesome and wild, there is certain responsibility to take into account when you visit Cancun. Sometimes, people get too excited and forget about their safety and health, which is why many accidents can occur. Keep in mind that you want to have an incredible time during your spring break, and not deal with the hassle of getting hurt (God forbid!). So, here’s a quick guide to keep it safe and sound during your next spring break in Cancun:

- Limit the drinking. If drinking alcohol is part of your spring break, remember that it can impair your judgment and actions. Don't drink and drive. There are plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives, or get yourself a designated driver!

- Don’t sit around all day, get on your feet and be active. You've probably been sitting most of the year working on the computer, studying, or in class. During spring break, take the opportunity to do a variety of fun activities in Cancun, like walking, dancing, swimming, and more. Remember that Cancun offers all sorts of places to visit during the day, and Cancun’s nightlife will definitely keep you dancing all night long, especially in the best club in Cancun: Dady’O.

- Protect yourself from the sun. After a cold winter, it's tempting to stay in the hot sun all day during spring break in Cancun. Although getting a little sun can have some benefits, excessive and unprotected sun exposure can result in premature aging, changes in skin texture, and skin cancer. Always wear sunscreen with at least SPF 15.

- Eat healthy. Having fun takes energy and fuel. Be sure to eat a variety of foods, including plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grain products. Drink lots of water and go easy on the salt, sugar, alcohol, and saturated fat. You won’t want to spend your spring time in Cancun hidden in your hotel room due to some kind of food poisoning or bloating, so make sure you get plenty of non-junky food.
